I enjoy counseling from a positive, nonjudgmental, compassionate perspective. My goal is to help clients through encouragement and respectful challenge to develop their strengths and competencies and to strengthen their connections to others.
I provide guidance as a partner with individuals, couples, or families to help
solve any unique issues they may have. I enjoy helping couples to
increase the level of emotional intimacy by offering a variety of tools, including
but not limited to, communication skills.
Designed to meet the needs of clients, services may include education, one-time consultation, short-term/long-term therapy, and/or referral for medical evaluation.
Education includes: Master of Social Work from the University of South Florida, Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Skidmore University in New York. I also completed advanced clinical postgraduate work in family therapy at the Family Therapy Practice Center in Washington, D. C.
As a licensed clinical social worker (#006236), I also hold Diplomate status as a Certified Sex Therapist through The American Board of Sexology and am member of SASH (www.sash.net).
